Welcome!
I am an associate professor in the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and director of the Digital Experience Lab (DEX Lab).
The DEX Lab is dedicated to exploring and advancing the field of intelligent interactive media and systems. Our focus extends beyond individual technologies to encompass the broader context in which they operate. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the realm of interactive media, delving into cutting-edge research, and creating innovative solutions.
With a strong emphasis on research, development, and collaboration, we aim to shape the future of intelligent interactive systems that enhance user experiences and drive technological innovation.
Designing intelligent interactive interfaces and technologies based on the theories and principles of human factors and human-computer interactions (HCI) is my specialty with more than 20 years of extensive experience. I have multidisciplinary backgrounds from my education in HCI and Human Factors (PhD), Computer Engineering & Science (MS), and Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering (BS) as well as from my professional experience with Samsung Electronics, Korea Institute of Science & Technology (KIST), Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), and HP Labs, Palo Alto.
